low coolant light

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My 97 pontiac grand prix gt low coolant light flickers on and off and sometimes stays on. I have checked under the hood fluid levels are ok. Should I even be worried about it since levels are ok?
Don't know what else to do. Help?

The sensor in your car is known to go bad. It is called an engine coolant level indicator module and it is located in the radiator on the right(p/s) side of the car near the top of the radiator.
Hope this helps ya,
Billy

Agreed, I have seen pontiac sensors go bad more than once.
