I recently bought a 1993 Mazda MX6 4 cyl from a freind. When I purchased it I knew it had a problem just was not sure what it was. The car will start and sounds great, no misses and idles fine but the problem is it will not move. Not reverse nor drive. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. My father and boyfriend think it may be the transmission pump but I wanted to get more ideas. Also if it does sound like a transmission pump where might I find one, I have serached high and low for one for my car and can not find any. Has this been a big problem with 93 Mazda MX6's?

Thanks and Hope for Help, chvygrlw350v8

Also, it has had a new tranny put in before I bought it!!

Check the fluid level first if it's full you will need to check the flywheel bolts for being there. If it's not one of those 2 problems I would suggest a tranny shop look at it.Sounds like your(freind)should have been a little more up front with you about this issue. You are possibly going to spend quite a few dollars on this.
