98 Dodge Grand Caravan power steering problem

On the way to church this am, the battery light came on and the power steering went out. I drove it back home the 2 blocks and took a different car.

I checked the fluid, and it appears slightly low, but I couldn't see clearly because I didn't have a rag at the time to clean the stick properly. It looked like it was level with the 'bottom arrow' for a cold engine.

I just had the starter replaced about 3 weeks ago, I read it may be possible I have a tensioner problem if it didn't get seated back properly.

I'm going back out right now to make sure the fluid is exactly where it needs to be, but was wondering about anyone's thoughts on this.

If it's 3.3, the belt may came off due to bad belt tensioner.

Or the belt(s) may have stretched beyond the max. limit and need replacing.

Yep, it's the belt (and it is the 3.3 engine). Off completely.

At least it wasn't something MUCH worse. It's being towed to the shop tomorrow. Thanks everyone!
