mercedes Benz query

A friend of mine has a mercedes C230(?) and claims that the car doesn't have any dipsticks to check fluid levels. the computer sends all this info to a dash readout panel. Is he putting me o? i know these cars have all kinds of readouts, but no dipsticks?
Thanks

I think he's pulling your legs.

Open up the hood on his car and look for yourself. .

I wouldn't be surprised if that was straight scoop. There are vehicles on the road that do not have dipsticks for everything.

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.

Thanks to all,especially kestas.

I agree, some of these so-called improvements are downright insulting.
Moron proof. The link you provided was great. The dipstick was so much simpler.

About 75% of the people operating motor vehicles wouldn't know a dipstick if it bit them on the @ss. Of the 25% of the motoring public who actually know what a dipstick is, half of them never use one. Gotta figure sooner or later the auto makers would figure this out and save a few bucks on each vehicle by eliminating them.
