Angry Auto Fuse

I have a 1988 GMC K2500 4x4 350 pickup. There is a fuse holder mounted behind a plastic cover, I opened the fuse holder the other day and the fuse fell out and I could not find it. I need to know what size of a fuse this is because with the fuse missing, the pickup is running bad, it has a miss in it now. Thanks so much for you help.

Any chance there is a diagram on the cover telling what fuse goes to what circuit and also the size fuse required? Going to be tough to guess without a little more info.

Your best bet is to look in the owners manual and match up the location that has a missing fuse with the picture in the owners manual and there should be a listing of fuses, what they control, and the amperage. Its often found on the plastic cover somewhere. If you don't have the owners manual check a Haynes or Chiltons manual or even www.autozone.com under repair info. It's possible that it was a spare fuse if all fuses appear to be in place after checking it out.
