Windshield Replacement

I have a 1991 Mazda B 2600i with a cracked windshield, actually 2 cracks from side to side. I am wondering how difficult it is to replace the window myself and what if any special tools i need... Is this a job that i would be smart to leave to a proffessional... The reason i ask is that a new window installed is like $450 bucks and this is just my beater truck.

Thanks for any advice or comments....

The problem is if you purchase and install it yourself and break it in the process itís yours. By time you purchase the tools and supplies to do the job your better off having it done.

Windshield installation has a direct relation to structural integrity of the vehicle. If done incorrectly it is a safety hazard.

I think if you shop around you could find someone to do it for less than $450.
Not to long ago I had a Toyota pick-up done for $200.
