computer '96 ford 350hd club wagon

I just took my car to an autozone to have the computer checked (interior lights ,radio and rear a/c all went out together). computer came up as an error in reading it. What does this mean? Do i need a new compuer or could it be a relay poblem and what is the cost I am looking at?

Thank You

Mark

Without knowing the actually error message(s) from the code reader, it would not be prudent to guess at the cause. Having said that, I believe that Autozone simply errored in the procedure for pulling codes. Take it to another car supply and get the codes pulled again and chances are good that you will get different results. Or take it to a repair shop for $50 and they can pull the codes correctly the first time.

Aside from codes, I don't believe your accessory item failure is related to trouble codes. It sounds like a bad fuse, which of course is outside the realm of computer control. In fact, given what you have stated, there is every reason to believe your computer is 100 percent operational.

Some of those computers need input from a driver during the test
Such as turning the steering wheel or pushing the gas pedal to the floor
AZ probably did not follow the correct procedure for this vehicle

I also would think your problem is just a fuse
