1995 F-150 transmission

I have a 1995 F-150, 4.9L 5 speed trans. This has been a great truck and had a question. I was planning on giving this truck to my son to use, but because of a medical condition he cant drive a standard. Is it feasible to put an automatic transmission in this truck or is too much involved to make it reasonable. Thanks for the help.

To put an auto into this truck, you will almost need a complete doner vehicle. The engine control unit is different as well as the steering column & some wiring under the dash & under the hood & along the frame. If you have to pay someone labor to do it, the bill will buy another truck with an auto already in it Too much to be cost efficient (R)
