Wink 95 lincoln town car problem?

Hi,
I own a 1995 Licoln towncar with the 4.6L motor.The battery finnaly died,so I replaced it,but now the "Air Bag" dash light flashes on and off?
Is this normal,what do I do to stop it from flashing?Thanks

Air Bag Light?

Hi,
I replaced the battery on my 1995 Lincon Towncar,and now the "Air bag" light is flashing on and off?How do I correct this?Thanks

Please don't start multiple threads for the same problem.

You were given advice as what to do from experienced Ford tech and didn't reply.

Posting again with hopes of getting an answer you like better is not going to solve your problem. Following the advice of an experienced tech will

Flash Code?

He said to count the flash code,I don't understand what he means?Thanks

To obtain the code on this system, count two sets of flashes and interpret it as a 2-digit code (e.g., flash-flash pause flash-flash-flash = 23)

There should be a longer pause used as a separator to repeat the code as compared to the pause between digits

Question Flash code for airbag

Hi,
When I start the car,the air bag light flashes 1 time then a slight pause,the two flashes together,then it stays on steady?any ideas?Thanks

Code 12 is low battery voltage.

Wink Air bag code?

Thanks for the reply.What would cause this,as Its a new battery with good connections....

It's because the old battery had low voltage, the code is not erased by removing the battery.

I think you need a scan tool to clear it.
