200 Dodge Neon Spark plug

My 2000 Dodge Neon 2.0 L engine unexpectidly blew a spark plug. It tore the threads out and hit the underside of the hood. The wire was shreaded also. The problem is I tried to screw a new plug in and the threads in the head are gone. Are there any quick fixes beside tearing the motor down and somehow replacing the threads in the head??
Thanks for the help

they make thread repair inserts that you can install that or a helicoil would be about your only choice it can be done without removing the head.

more than likely the threads was damaged the last time it had plugs changed.
