Changing Belt in 1996 Buick Riviera

Hi all!

I need to replace the serpentine belt in my 96 Riv. I got a quote from a local shop and they want $150 to change it. That seems a bit pricey for just changing a belt. I know I've done them in the past and it took me less than an hour on my last car. The Riv has a supercharger, so I don't know if it's any more complicated than a typical 3800 engine. Any thoughts? Is the Riv more complicated to do the belt change? I'm just wondering why the price might be so high...

Any info you can provide would be great.

You have 2 belts on your car I would suggest doing them both at the same time. There is a stud and bushing that need removed to get the belt off some people remove the whole bracket. We billed the same job at $200 today.

Even Davo's price is pretty reasonable compaired to what the dealer I work for would charge. Your bill from us would be over $300.00, and we are a Buick dealer.
