Question motor change out

Does anyone know if the motor from a 1985 Astrovan will fit in a 1993 Cheyenne? If so are there any modifications needed?

Yes, it will fit. I take it the Cheyenne had a 4.3 in it as well. If I remember correctly, the 85 4.3 is not fuel injected. So you're going to have to swap intake manifolds, with all the sensors to retain F.I on the truck. Also, you want to use all the bracketry of the old truck engine for the accessories to retain the serpentine belt set-up. There are 2 other things that I'm not sure of. 1 is if there is a mechanical fuel pump on the 85. If so, you will need to get a block off plate to cover where the pump was. 2 is the way the intake manifold bolt holes are drilled in the cylinder heads. I now the certain years V8's intake to head bolts go in at different angles, but am not sure if it applied to 4.3's other than the Vortec CPI 4.3L.
