Rust on Bumper
Hi. I don't know if this is the right forum for this but I'm gonna take a shot -
I have a 99 Explorer sport and the rear bumper is starting to show some rust. What can I do to stop it/clean it up? I should have taken a picture to post but I didn't think of it - I can tomorrow. OR - Can I replace it myself if I order one?
The bumper is gray (not the old school chrome ones) - if that helps.
THANKS

should be easy
You have a couple of options.
1:remove and sand the bumper to remove rust and buy some spray paint however this is the cheapest way but I do not know how it will look.
2:remove bumper and take it to a body shop and have them sand and spray it.
both ways will be cheaper then a new one.
If you tape up everything you might be able to do it on the truck.
