Cavalier transmission

undefined Someone please help! Have a 96 cavalier. Replaced auto trans (3T40). When engine gets up to temp the trans seems to lock up, when putting into any gear from park, engine shudders and stalls. trans noise comming from torque converter area. I did ajust the TV cable. Anyone know whats causing this? Thanks in advance for any help.

stalling when...

...putting in gear sounds like a bad torque converter clutch solenoid. the solenoid is located inside the side cover...behind the LF wheel. not a big deal to replace and a very common failure on GM.

not without searching...

...which you can do. try calling your local parts distributor or dealer.
