90 Camry elec.window

The elec. window motor in the driver's door of a '90 Camry is dead.
Does the regulator have to be removed in order to change out the motor? I
reached behind the regulator to unscrew the motor but a 4mm Allen was too small and a 5 was too big. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong.
If I remove the regulator will the window drop?

You do have to remove the regulator and the window will drop.

Be careful when removing the motor the regulator is spring loaded.

Thanks

Thank you, Larry
I duct-taped the glass to the window frame and removed the whole
thing. Easier than I expected, but a chore, nonetheless.
Thanks again
Jim
