2002 mercedes benz brakes do I need new disk

hi! Iam the owner of a 2002 mercedes Ml 500, with 30,000 , when the vehicle had replaced the front pads, at the MB service center when the vehicle had 18000 miles. now that the vehicle had 30,000 miles, the mb shop wants me to replace all pads 4disk, i feel they are charging me too much, I had just bouth the pads planning to install then on my own, I will not replace the disk, is that too much of job, are the MB pads different than any others, what to do!!!

Had a friend who worked at MB for many years. Common practice to replace rotors with pads. They never cut them, explanation was rotors were soft and made to wear hence the replacement.

As far as pads I would only recommend OEM. You paid a lot of $$$ for this vehicle and I wouldn’t compromise it with aftermarket parts.
