if you can smell it...
...it's definately leaking. keep looking...or have someone raise it on a lift so you can look from the bottom up...water pumps go bad on those frequently.

keep looking
Sounds pretty bad that such a late model car is having problems already but I guess it can happen.
I would check all hose clamps as well as water pump and anything that has coolant in it.
Drive it around for awhile till temp is good and hot get your wifes compact mirror or a inspection mirrior turn on heater and make sure you have plenty of light nice sunny day is best.
Inspect everything you might have to remove some stuff like air cleaner to get a better look but you will find it.
turn off engine and listen for the sound of dripping onto the hot engine.just take your time and be carefull around moving parts and hot engine,
Might also help to drive up on some ramps to get under it and look.

I'm willing to bet its the lower intake gaskets, as this is a very known problem on 3.1 and 3.4 engines, we see at least 3 a day. If it were a head gasket, it would drip from the right lower corners of both heads, which you would see if the van were on a hoist. Take a small flash light and shine it on top of the engine block below the throttle body, behind the thermostat housing. You will see evidence there if it is the intake gaskets.

Mr Dummas You Should Play The Lotto You Hit The Nail On The Head
It Was Lower Intake Gasket Leaking. If This Is A Problem On The 3.1
And 3.4 Gm Should Do A Recall On That Issue Do You Agree.
Ps If You Do Play The Lotto Let Me Know What Numbers You Are
Playing I'll Play Them Too.

If you consider how many vehicles are on the road with the 3.1 and 3.4's, you can see why GM's only option is to redesign. The gasket sets are no more than $100, while the labor to do the job is close to 5 hours per warranty time.
As for the lottery, I used to play years ago. Now the odds of winning are outrageous as hell, I'll stick to the $1-$10 scratch-offs
