firing order 2002 taurus
I have a 2002 Taurus with the 3.0 DOHC V6 Duratec engine, 85,000 miles.
My check engine light lit up and car started running very rough. Had the codes read at dealer and they said my #1 plug was arcing. They wanted $420 to change plugs and wires (@$%#&!) I figure I can take care of this, but I can't find a diagram showing which plug is #1, can somebody describe which one it is or post a wiring diagram?
Thanks

$420 WOW is correct! LOL. Even if you replace all your plugs and give yourself a tuneup it won't run even close to $420 bucks! WOW if you live close i'll do it for half the price!LOL J/K.......buy a good ole Chilton book, their cheap and handy for such questions as yours.

#1 cylinder is the one to the passenger side rear of the engine compartment. Look close @ the old plugs. If you see a carbon trac on the outside of the plug, you'll need wires too. Sorry
