Security Light

I have a 1998 Olds Intrigue. The security light comes on and will stay on until I shut the engine off. It will stay off for about 100 miles then come back on.
It does this quite often. Can anybody give me some ideas on what to check to fix this problem.

Thank

If you're talking about the check engine light, then having codes read with a code reader will help you find what is triggering it.

The security light coming on means that there is a problem with the passlock system. Eventually this is going to leave you stranded.
Sources of problems are the ignition switch lock cylinder, the body control module, or the three wires that connect the two. Hate to say it, but take it to the dealer.
