I have 3 year old gasoline in a 1978 Dodge 440c.i. motorhome. Do I need to do anything more than drain the fuel and replace it? Will there be varnish left in the fuel tank that I need to worry about?

The problem won't be in the tank, it will be in the carburetor. Get the fresh gas in the tank and see how it runs. Couple of bottles of carb cleaner in the tank wouldn't hurt.

Measure it with a micrometer; cut it with an ax.
