spark plugs on Toyota

This is just a for my info question maybe Toyotaman Larry knows the answer.
I have a 2004 Toyota Tacoma with the 2.4L engine manuel 5 speed gear box.On that truck did Toyota use the Iridum plugs? The reason I ask is on my 2003 Matrix it has them.I looked in the owners manuel but found no mention of them.It just says the 2RZ-FE uses the Denso K16R-U11 or the NGK BKR5EYA-11.How often should these be replaced?
If they are not Iridium plugs I wonder why Toyota did not use them.
