Brake lights remain on

The brake lights lights on my '92 Geo Prism remain on after the engine is turned off and the key removed. I've obviously got a short somewhere. I've replaced all three brake bulbs and they still stay on. I've tried to access the brake pedal switch itself but am having trouble getting to it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Do they go out if you put your toe under the brake pedal and lift up on it?

It is the little plastic grommet that fell out if the brake pedal were the switch contacts it. You can just replace it with a nut and bolt.
