Where is the Fuel Filter?
#1

Anyone know where the fuel filter is (supposed to be) located on a 2002 Chev. Tracker (4 Cyl.)? Got some really bad gas the other day, bought a new filter and now I cant find it on the Tracker! I have searched underneath the rear end, the front end and every place but the glove box for this thing.
Your help will be greatly appreciated.

According to autozone.com:
"On your 2002 CHEVROLET TRUCK TRACKER 2WD, the FUEL FILTER is:
UNDER VEHICLE, PASSENGER SIDE, REAR OF WHEELWELL,
NEXT TO FUEL TANK, MOUNTED IN FUEL LINE"
says same location for 4WD

Makes me glad that my truck has a carb instead of injection, mine is right next to the engine on passenger side, and easy to change leaning over the hood.

Usually GM mounts them tucked inside of the frame near the rear. I'm not familliar with the Trackers, but all of my GMs have been where described. Be careful when replacing if you have fuel injection. Fuel injected motors use an electric fuel pump in the tank, your line may be pressurized. I would advise doing it when the vehicle is cold in case of a fule spray.
