Question Brake dust on wheels...

Is there a really good cleaner to remove the brake dust from aluminum wheels? The wheels are starting to get a redish/orange stain around the edge of the spokes (6 spoke wheels). I try washing the wheels every week but I cannot seem to keep up with the dust. Is there a different brake pad that would minimize this, without affecting the cars braking? Any brand of pad out there better than the rest? The car is a Nissan with oem pads and only a years worth of driving on the wheels and pads. Any help would be great.

First of all what vehicle is it? You can use Simple Green its very effective plus its very gentle on everything. After this brake pads wear out, I would suggest to use ceramic pads to minimize or even totally eliminate dust. I hope this helps. Keep me posted.

Ceramic pads will minimize the dust but no pads are dust free.

Depending how particular you are brake dust can mess up the finish on aluminum wheels if left on the wheels for a period of time.
