Geo Metro stalling when putting in drive
Anyone have a suggestion on a 1991 Geo 1.0L stalling problem when putting in drive and also hard starts, cold or hot? I read that stalling is common on these pieces of $#!*.
Not mine, but just trying to assist a friend.Told him to check vacuum leaks, any carbon build-up anywhere.
Could a fuel pressure regulator cause this and do these have idle air control motors?
Thanks for any advice.

I think that vintage metro were prone to the bolt that holds the crankshaft pulley to the crankshaft loosening. I think that and valve adjusters sticking in the heads. Both of these failures are enough to cause the repair to exceed the cash value of the vehice.
