change valve cover gasket?

I have a 85 ford ranger. I have a good oil leak from the valve cover gasket. I am thinking about changing it myself. It looks easy to get to. Remove air filter housing and a couple of hoses and there it is. Is there anything I need to know other than scrape the old one off and put the new one on?
Thanks!

No, it should be a straight up job, check the valve cover with a straight edge before putting it back.
