84 jetta

hi i was wondering if anyone knew of any leaking issues with the jetta because my jetta is leaking water inside and i don't know where it is coming from...

also can anyone explain to me how to fix surface rust?

o yes and also does anyone know how to remove mold from the seats of my car its fabric and there is a crap load of mold from leakage

It's not a VW if it doesn't leak. Areas of possible leakage on a VW, If you have a sunroof make sure the drain tubes are not clogged. If you have A/C, make sure the condesation drain tube is not clogged. Re seal underneath the rubber gasket for the front winshield with sealant. Make sure the vapor barrier in each door has not deteriorated and if it has replace it with some new plastic, like from a strong trashbag.

The 89 Jetta I used to have had a recall on the heater core. Not sure if that is what you meant by a water leak or if it will help you at all.
