Air conditioner compressor replacement

I am changing the compressor on a 1990 Mazda Protege an can't find how much oil to use. The book says to check the compressor information the compressor information says to check the service manual.

The amount of oil is based on the entire system, not just the compressor. You normally split up the oil by adding some to the compressor, then the condenser and perhaps the accumulator/drier. The service manual is the proper source for a given car.
