Heater Fan only working on Hi speed??????

Question Heater Fan only working on Hi speed??????

I have a 1999 Ford Contour. The heater fan only works on hi speed. Any ideas what I can check?? Thanks for any info.

The resistor stack is bad. Replace it.

Can you tell me where to find the resistor stack, and is it hard to replace?

I don't know where it is on your model but fords usually have them mounted in the engine compartment, then in the wall of the heater core chamber near the firewall. It will have about 3 wires plugged into it. Remove 2 screws, remove part, unplug wires. Reverse to install.

Get the wiring harness too. They usually go in pairs.

The reostat was behind the glovebox.
1 screw and $20.00 fixed the problem
