Question 1992 Explorer Wiper Switch

I need to replace the wiper switch on my 1992 Explorer! Is the switch in the turn signal? If it is, will it be a problem to change?

Yes and no.

You will replace that complete switch assembly as a single unit. It can be done in as little as 10 min if your handy. Don't touch the yellow wire in the column as it goes to the airbag. You might even want to unhook the car battery to be safe.

If you have an airbag you have to go through a procedure to disable the airbag. Simply disconnecting the battery doesn't disable the airbag. It can blow up in your face. If you don't know the procedure for disabling the airbag, take it to a qualified repair shop. Airbags are expensive and they hurt when they blow up in your face.
