1990 Chevy Astro

this will sound funny but anyways, why all of a sudden is my van turning over so fast and starts instant, it starts so fast i bearly have to turn the key, but it driving me nuts because it starts so fast that the starter is still turning hat it grinds everytime i start

any ideas

Not sure why it would start so fast, but if the starter is not disengaging then you need a new one, or at least a new solenoid. Fix the obvious first.

it does disengage after i let go of the key, but i bearly have to turn the key and its started, it like its started the instant the key is turn, it doesnt even crank a half of a turn and its going, and it just all of a sudden started doing it, would it have anything to do with the STP Fule Injector Cleaner i put in it

Don't think so. But it would be worth putting a regular tank of gas through it to see. Very strange. I would appreciate it if you let us know if you figure it out.

ok last night i drove around and ran it dry, then filled up on gas didnt put anything in but gas, and now it takes about 3 cranks before it starts, it had to be the STP, but thats weird
