'96 Intrepid Fan Problem

My wife's 1996 Chrysler Intrepid has a bearing going bad on the 'right fan'. The mechanic told her a new one would be around $500 (installed).

1) How many fans are there in this thing?

2) Is this a tough job to do? (I'm not a mechanic but I can manage a few things if they are straight forward)

3) Is the part easily gotten to? (I don't have much room to work on it and not many tools either)

If it has A/C there are two fans. They are not generally too difficult to replace, although they can be rather tightly-fitted in there. There will be an electrical plug in and a few nuts or bolts holding it to the rad. They are both directly behind the radiator, in front of the drive belts.

Thanks hspr Doesn't sound too tough, maybe I'll give it a shot.
