My first guess is that your compressor is locked up. If so, it will burn up every belt you put on it.

Lugnut hit the nail on the head. Your compressor has locked up internaly so when you hit the ac button it engages the clutch to turn the internal shaft which is locked so the belt will just slip on the pully.

Could be fellas ....................BUT..............check the tensioner pulley.........nasty reputation for seizing up...........If it's OK, the compressor is the culprit (I always check the cheap stuff first)
