Horn Problems

I have a '94 Ford Ranger.

My horn has not worked ever since a female friend made me upset one night and I punched the steering wheel. LOL. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone could help me out by informing me on how I can go about getting my horn back in working order. I'm a lowly law student and would like to avoid having to pay some overpriced mechanic in town to do the work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

The piece you punched......take it off,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it either pops off or has two screws on the back side of the steering wheel. See what looks broken. haven't ever looked at a ranger horn button, but you should be able to figure it out when you take off the cover.

Re:Horn Problems

First off, Thank you for your post.

I took the part off (it had two screws keeping it on) and looked. I figured that maybe I had just knocked a wire loose, but everything looked to be secure and in one piece. You could see where the metal frame bent from my fist but whatever it is that is broken was not evident.
