Clunk going into Reverse

I am driving an 89 Jeep Cherokee Ltd with 4x4 and the 4.0 engine w/ Auto trans. When I am fully stopped and put the shifter into Reverse, I hear a clunk, but only in that gear. Could that be a U-joint going? Thank you all in advance for any advice that you give.

Do you have a lift kit installed?
Things to check:
(1) Ujoints (as you thought)
(2) Loose Ubolts on rear differential
(3) Loose transmission mount

If you hear it farther up front it could be an engine mount.

I'm casting my vote for U-joint
Runner up: loose diffy bolts

Have someone shift while you're outside-be safe-don't go under there
You should be able to isolate it pretty quick

Thank you much!! No lift kit. I will check the things mentioned. Hope it is something minor.
