Blower fan stopped working

I had just started my 2000 Dodge Ramwagon 1500. I turned the a/c on. Fan worked on low speed. I turned the fan to a higher speed and it quit just as if the fuse had blown. Changed the fuse. Still no fan. I can get at the fan switch easily. I haven't found the blower motor yet. What is the next logical thing to check out and how do I go about doing it? Thanks.

Next thing I would do is disconnect the fan and run a jumper wire from the fan to the battery, first thing is to make sure the fan is working, then go from there.

Or, unplug the blower motor and connect a test light to the connector to make sure you are getting power and ground to the motor.
