Crack on top of radiator near radiator cap

1990 Honda Accord 4 door LX automatic transmission. I found there is a crack about 2 to 2.5 inches long on top of radiator near radiator cap. It was made in plastic. Since this is cooling system and has high pressure when hot, is there anything like instant glue that can fix this crack rather than replace the entire radiator which is much expensive? Thanks in advance!

Even if there were a cheap repair kit for this, I would not trust it. About all I can think of as far as repairing it, would be JB Weld. I suggest just replacing the radiator, that way you don't have to worry about being stranded somewhere or have to worry about engine damage when she overheats.

I have used epoxy repair kits for plastic radiator cracks smaller than your. They are worthless. They do nothing to stop the crack leak. They are probably better at filling a hole than penetrating a crack.

My first hand experience says, it a no go.

Thanks for all your replied! I have thought so that stop leak won't work good for crack. I have went ahead to replace a new radiator and it took me about 3-4 hours to do it for the first time. Not bad!
