well CO is the chemical symbol for carbon monoxide so it might be a carbon monoxide sensor, probably somewhere in your exhaust

No such thing on a car that I am aware of unless it is installed afterwards to detect exhaust entering the cabin. You are probably thinking of an O2 sensor. These will be located in the manifold or exhaust pipe. Some vehicles have four, some only one or two.

Post your vehicle information for more specific information. Why are you looking for this sensor? What is the condition that makes you need to look for a sensor?
