maybe it's o2 not co

i think it has something to do with the gas. where do i find it in the manual?it's on a 97 bonneville se.

O2 and CO both are a gas.... but I doubt it's going to be in your manual.

As per autozone.com you have 2 O2 sensors, and it gives the same location for each:

On your 1997 PONTIAC BONNEVILLE, the OXYGEN SENSOR is:


UNDER HOOD, CENTER, REAR ENGINE AREA, ABOVE EXHAUST
PIPE FLANGE, MOUNTED IN EXHAUST MANIFOLD
