Question 2000 Chevy Truck S-10

My buddy has an S-10 and his cd player is not working. I know a few different things about cd players and would like to take it out to work on it, but do not want to tear his truck up trying to get it out. I know on Fords, there are two holes on both sides of the stereo, and all you do is get a tool that can go into the holes and the stereo pops out. My question is, how do I take the stereo out of my friends Chevy truck? Can someone explain that to me or tell me a good website that does?

He lives a few states away and I want to have this info before I go out there on vacation. I have not been in any chevy trucks lately to see how the stereo is mounted.

You have to remove the plastic trim that surrounds the cluster, radio and heater control. Then you will see the screws that need to come out, they take a 7mm socket.

I just did one this afternoon
It's real obvious
This one just had screws-no sockets
It was a few years older though
