o2 suzuki esteem rear drum brakes

i am attepting to replace the rear brakes on my 02 Suzuki Esteem. i am having the hardest time replacing the springs on the brakes. any help!!1

Which springs ? The ones that hold the shoe to the backing plate ('v' shape) ? Try a pair of needle nose pliers. Spread them a little, push down so that the pin comes through the spring, then grab the pin with the pliers and twist. If you mean the long one across the top, I find it easiest to put this on first, then spread the shoes over the adjuster, then fit the shoes over the hub. The bottom spring can be stretched across with a pair of wire cutters.

The whole thing is made a lot easier if you remove the rear wheel bearing assembly, which can itself be easy or difficult. Might be worth a try.
