oil smells like gasoline/ 2002 grand am gt

I have a 2002 Grand Am Gt, 3.4L. On July 11, I had to replace the intake manifold gasket ( never overheated ) The shop stated that no internal damage had occured. Also had fuel filter changed at the same time.I have driven approx. 130 miles since I had this work done. Today car started to run sluggish and the oil smells like gasoline. What could the problem be? and if any, how much damage could have happen? This has been $$$$, would like to mentally prepare myself if it requires more $$$$ Mileage 47233. Thanks

well old oil, even in a newer car will have a slight gasoline scent. although it sounds like your intake gasket might be leaking. I would inspect the exhaust when the car is running to see if it is smokier than usual. i would also pull the plugs to see if they are fouled up. if gasoline can leak into your oil, your oil is probably also leaking into the intake manifold.
