i have had terrible gas milage lately and i just found out that my fuel filter had some blockage. my question is my truck ran fine but could the filter have been the cause of my bad gas milage. thanks ahead of time .

The fuel filter is there to trap any particulates which may clog the carb/injectors. It only passes the amount of fuel called for by the engine. There are many reasons for poor mileage, but the filter is not the culprit.
