squeaky 2000 Ford Explorer

whenever we drive, there is a sqeak, squeak, squeak, that gets faster the faster you drive. When you put on brakes it stops and let go of brakes, starts again. Any ideas would be great. The noise is getting louder and I need to get it fixed, if something simple was going to try myself. Thanks

Sounds like a wear indicator on the brake pads.

The brake pads are practically new, any other suggestions?

Rotational noise that stops with brake application = in the brakes. Check for loose/out of place hardware contacting the rotor possibly. It's been a while, but I think those use the thin sheet metal inserts in the caliper saddles. Not uncommon for them to loosen up and move around.
