2002 impala bad fuel pressure regulator????

I have a 2002 impala 3.8L engine and Im pretty sure I have a bad fuel pressure regulator. It has trouble starting unless its cold outside but what I was wondering was can I change a fuel pressure regulator myself and ifso where is it located?

Im not familiar with your model, but follow the fuel rail on the engine to its termination point before it goes to the injectors. There, you should find the regulator.

The regulator is right up on the engine by the throttle body. To see if it is bad, remove the vacuum line and look or smell for fuel. A vacuum pump should hold, if applied. To replace, relieve fuel pressure and use snap ring pliers to remove. Make sure to get all the old parts out including the tiny o ring at the bottom. Install new one, but make sure to lube the orings.
