1998 Chrysler Town & Country Front End

My car has 85xxxx miles on it and lately the front end squeaks and it just doesn't feel solid as it once was. What are the possiblities, and would it be expensive to repair. Thanks George

Hi George,

You may want to have your front struts evaluated by your local mechanic to see if it is time for replacement which may improve the ride considering the milage on the vehicle. In regards to the noise, the sway bar bushing may be suspect as I recall there being an issue with them on these vehicles. It is also possible that the squeak is coming from a ball joint or tie rod end depending on exactly when the noise is experienced, ie. over bumps, turning, etc. Realistically, you should probably have the front end checked by your shop because troubleshooting noises over the internet can be a bit subjective, plus the repair depending on what is needed may be a bit more involved than something you would want to handle yourself. Because of this, the cost of repair could vary quite a bit.
