Question Slow start- Subaru Forester

I have a 1999 Subaru Forester and just recently it has been having a bit of trouble starting. When the engine is cold, no problems at all. After I have driven around a bit, stopping here and there, the engine takes longer to turn over. Yesterday it almost didn't. We took it to get looked at today and the battery, alternator, etc. are all fine. Curiously enough, I got the fuel filter replaced last week along with an oil change. Three days after that this starting problem started happening. ONce started, the engine runs fine. Any ideas on what this coud be? Thanks.

Longer to turn over? longer for the starter to turn the engine or just cranks over for a while? if taking longer to turn the engine you will need a starter.

It just cranks for a longer time and then the engine starts.

When this happens, becareful of flooding. Hold the pedal to the floor when you start this will eliminate flooding.
Bring it into a shop for a diag.
