Exclamation Battery/Electrical Issue

I own a 2003 Toyota Corolla and have not had any issues...yet...I left my overhead light on Sunday night and when I went to start my car in the morning, it started slow and seemed like the battery was dying. I made sure I kept my car running, it is about an hour drive to my work. But my car still struggles to start.

So took my car to Auto Zone to buy a new battery...the guy there helped install it with the positive and negative terminals correctly, and now the car starts fine...but there seem to be power issues when I accelerate and my speedometer and RPM gauge aren't working properly, they increase but take too long to go back down. I am wondering what sort of problem this could be...

I have never had to change anything on my car yet and need to know what is going wrong!!!!Please help

Interesting problem, Disconnect the battery for about 15min and see if that works. Usually that will reset the ecu.

The Ecu drives the gauges.
