95 GMC suburbun wheel bearings
My 29 year old daughter in law has a 95 GMC suburbun 170 thousand miles (we call it the money pit).I can work on it but I have my own life and every week it is something else.Last week it was water pump,
Anyway she got new tires brakes and rear axle seals this week and wants a alignment. She went to the local shop here in town NAPA They worked on her truck before and installed a complete new A/C system when hers puked last year.(These guys are good).
They told her wheel bearings and alignment 700 dollars.
Is it that big of job?I recall in the old days I could do it for 50 bucks or so in parts.
I am getting to old to mess with this stuff every week and dont tinker as much with cars anymore.
My wife and I are trying to get her to get rid of it besides being broken every week it is a gas hog.
What you guys think?
Why 700 bucks for wheel bearings and alignment?
