adjusting valves on old school 350

Exclamation adjusting valves on old school 350

hey guys i have just recently rebuilt and installed an old school 350 in an 88 chevy caprice and can't find any info on properly adjusting the valves can anyone help

Hydraulic or solid lifters?

I had alway set them running. If I remember correctly, I back them off until they clatter then turn them down 3/4 turns. 1/4 turn at a time, wait until the engine smooths out before you start the next 1/4 turn.
